Calls are one of our most important tools for enabling projects. They are carried out in close collaboration with our three funding agencies – the Swedish Energy Agency, Formas and Vinnova.

Resilient metals and minerals supply for strengthened preparedness
The purpose of the call for proposals is to strengthen the ability to supply the total defense with important metals and minerals. The Swedish metal and mineral industry must function in peacetime, at high alert and, in extreme cases, during war, but also in other security-politically challenging situations.

What can you apply for?
Funding for industrial research or experimental development that strengthens the industry’s ability and conditions to contribute to total defence.
Who can apply?
Consortia with at least one Swedish company and at least one Swedish research organisation.
Total call budget: SEK 40 million
Project categories: up to SEK 1.5 million (≤18 months) or no set maximum grant amount (larger projects).
Funding rate: up to 80% (varies by organisation size and project type — see call text for details).
Opened for proposal: February 11
Closes: April 28, 14:00 CET
Decision announced: June 30
Project should start by: August 17
Project must be completed by: August 31, 2029
