Water is a vital resource for sustainable societies, but it is under pressure from growing demand, climate change, water scarcity, and declining water quality. At the same time, there is often a lack of economic signals that reflect water’s true value. Water Wise Societies is now funding projects that develop new and more effective pricing and valuation models.

This call for proposals is aimed at Swedish higher education institutions that wish to strengthen their collaboration with stakeholders in Southern Africa in the mining, metals, and minerals sector. Projects awarded funding must have the potential to contribute to sustainable social development and create value both in Sweden and in the Southern African region.

This is the first call for proposals launched by the Raw Materials Partnership for the Green and Digital Transition (RAMP). It will fund transnational research and innovation projects addressing key challenges across the raw materials value chain, from exploration and primary supply through design and production to use, reuse, and recycling.

Do you want to initiate or deepen collaborations with Nordic actors within the metals and minerals sector? Now it is possible for a range of organisations to build consortia and develop proposals for submission to future calls by RAMP or other calls under Horizon Europe and complementary programmes.

The purpose of the call for proposals was to strengthen the ability to supply the total defense with important metals and minerals. The Swedish metal and mineral industry must function in peacetime, at high alert and, in extreme cases, during war, but also in other security-politically challenging situations.
