The supply of metals and minerals is being shaped by a rapidly changing world. New regulations, shifting market conditions and an evolving risk landscape are changing the conditions for both society and industry. The question is how actors can be mobilised, and how research and innovation efforts can be directed, to meet these changes.
This is the starting point for our seminar, “Metals and minerals’ supply in a changing world.”
“This is not only about raw materials and technical solutions. For new solutions to have an impact, several things need to be in place at the same time: knowledge, methods, people, enabling regulations and economic viability.” — Maria Swartling, Program Director, Swedish Metals & Minerals
