Technical Innovation

For our sector, it is important to invest in cutting-edge technologies that can streamline processes, increase resource efficiency and reduce the industry’s climate and environmental impact.

Social Innovation

For us and for civil society as a whole, it is important that there are projects that aim to improve the interaction between industry and society, with a focus on social sustainability and future skills supply.

We work for and promote the development of policy instruments and regulations that support a sustainable industry, strengthen competitiveness and enable a green transition for Sweden but also globally.

A strong start

The first three calls resulted in 73 projects that will contribute to the mission of the program and the metals and minerals sector.

100 million for research and innovation

The first Impact Innovation initiatives were met with great interest, and now 174 projects for transition and green growth have been launched. Together, the funding agencies and the actors behind them are contributing SEK 200 million. Of these, 73 projects are in the Swedish Metals & Minerals portfolio, with a total budget of almost SEK 100 million.

Big difference in a short period of time

The three first calls

In the technical action area, 53 projects were granted project funding and 11 in the social action area. In the call for regulations and instruments for sustainable industry, 9 projects were granted funding. This call was carried out in collaboration with our sister program within Impact Innovation, Net Zero Industry.
