A sustainable complement for attractive and rapid housing provision (Tiny Villages)
Purpose and goal
The objective of the project is to prove and document Tiny Village as a flexible, movable and socially sustainable housing alternative in mining and industrial regions. At the end of the project, we will have:
• developed technical and social proof of concept
• identified and worked down key thresholds for implementation
• created a best practice for how Tiny Villages can be established quickly and with lower risks
• showed how Tiny Villages can contribute to move-in, retention and skills supply
Expected effects and result
At the end of the project, a set of tools and documentation will be delivered that can be used by municipalities, landowners, entrepreneurs and employers, e.g. a comprehensive handbook, simulations and visualizations, proof of concept model, compilation of social impacts. These are adapted for continued use by the actors who will apply the results and are expected to speed up the scaling of the concept regionally and nationally.
