Program Director
Maria Swartling – Biography
Maria holds a Master of Science in Materials Engineering and a PhD in Metallurgy, educated at KTH Royal Institute of Technology. With several years of experience from the regional innovation system and small and medium-sized enterprises in industry, she currently leads the Sustainable Steel Region innovation platform. In the spring of 2024, she joined as Program Director of Swedish Metals & Minerals – Sweden's large innovation initiative to tackle the challenges of our time and the future.

Graphic profile
The main colors of the program are the two purple colors and beige. The green colors are part of our secondary color palette.
Main fonts
Main fonts for headings – Jost, Medium. Used as headline font in communications. Main font for running text – Open Sans. Used for running texts such as preambles, body text, factual texts, captions, etc.

Fonts for reports
The font used for longer texts, for example reports, is Times New Roman. For texts where only standard fonts can be used, the replacement font is - Arial.

Dissemination of project progress and results
When communicating the project and publishing project results, it must be stated that: the work was carried out within the Impact Innovation program Swedish Metals & Minerals, a joint initiative by the Swedish Energy Agency, Formas and Vinnova.
